MS. EVELYN
I can’t believe the end of school is almost here. The children and I have
had such a wonderful time in music class. We have learned some new songs.
We have danced, marched, skipped and hopped. We have acted like mice,
monsters and alligators. We saw a video that helped us learn about the
instruments of the orchestra. We have learned to listen to songs and
follow the directions, but we really had fun playing instruments. Please
come to our End of Year/Graduation Program on Thursday May 20th at 7 p.m. in
the Sanctuary, you will see some of the fun songs we have learned this
year. All classes will be singing that night. Thank you for sharing your
precious child with me.
I will sing to the Lord, for he has been good to me. Psalm 13:6
MS. MARGARET
“Cheep, cheep, cheep” and “baa, baa, baa” are the sounds coming out of our
classroom! We have had more fun this month with farm animals and nursery
rhymes. We painted, glued, feathered, and pasted pasta on different shapes
and have got acquainted with different types of media. The twos are doing
great with learning to recognize and name the colors and shapes. Our circle
time together is really progressing. The little ones can sit longer, focus
in on the activity, and participate in the game or song. I am so proud of
them. I have really noticed how their eye and hand co-ordination is
improving and the growth in their vocabulary. What a fun day we all had at
the school wide picnic! Thank you parents for your participation and thank
you school board for the delicious cook out! I also want to give a big thank
you for helping out at the Jumble Sale. It was truly appreciated and a fun
way to get together! Don’t forget we have Mud Day coming May 13th and we
will also be participating in the 4 year old graduation on May 20th.

April has flown by and I cannot believe we are almost to the end of the
year! Since finishing the alphabet, we've been practicing our alphabet
recognition, as well as working our writing muscles! All the kids are doing
a great job recognizing their names, and everyone is working hard at tracing
the letters of their names correctly. Some of us have even been practicing
writing our names independently! :) Our remaining units are focused on
water and the outdoors, and we'll of course be cooking, doing science
experiments, and learning new things every day. Some important upcoming
dates are as follows:
Thursday, May 13th: MUD DAY! (11 a.m. - noon)
Thursday, May 20th: End of Year Program 7 p.m.
Tuesday, July 27 - Thursday, July 29th: GEP Summer Camp! 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Progress reports will go home the first week of May.

Wow, I can’t believe the end of the year is so close. The kids have grown
and matured so much over this past school year . I feel so blessed to have
just spent time with your children, they are an amazing bunch. They have
learned all the letters in the alphabet and can count to 30. They flew
through colors and shapes and excelled at sign language. Our school field
trip to the park was again a success, thank you parents for helping out.
This month we will be reviewing everything we’ve learned and having fun
doing it. Our yoga, singing and dancing with continue until the last day of
school. Our end of the year party I will be providing happy meals for the
kids. Look for more info in the next week.
The kids have been working hard on the end of year program on May 20 at 7pm.
All the kids participate, so I hope you can make it. Please arrive by

The month of May has come so quickly! I have really enjoyed this year with
your children and continue to be amazed and excited by their growth. As we
close out our time together, we will be having lots of fun things happening
in our room. The first week we will continue exploring water with plumbing
experiments and a fishing game in the Sensory table. The last two weeks will
be "The Great Outdoors". Fun things for those two weeks include chalk
drawings outside, having a picnic in the playground and making "S'mores"!
All month we will be practicing with Ms. Evelyn for the End of Year
Celebration on May 20 at 7pm.
Thank you for sharing your children with me! It has been a blessing and an
honor.
Happy Birthday to Lola on May 25th. Summer birthdays are Hadley on June 1,
Tabor on June 7, Trent on July 12, Zachary on August 10, and Ainsley on
August 23.
MS. MICKI
It is so hard to believe that it is the last month of school. We have many
fun things planned for this month. We will continue working on word
families and our numbers. In April, we finished our study of the letter of
the week and celebrated our counting to 100. The 100 party was much
anticipated and very much enjoyed.
In the midst of our word and number studies we will also study outer space,
oceans and bugs. We will explore these themes during our centers, group
time and story time. We will be cooking and continuing our science.
We will plant our sunflower seeds in dirt as we found that they did not
sprout with just water. Our compost jug is coming along quite well. It
decomposed half way down the jug and we added more material to the jug.
Congratulations to all my students for a most wonderful year. I hope all of
you have a most safe and fantastic summer.
MS. KARA
We will finish up the year reviewing the alphabet, concentrating on numbers
and working on our handwriting. There will also be a lot of fun science,
cooking and great art! Our units of study will be Water World and The
Amazing Outdoors.
I can not believe this is our last month! It truly has been a joy to work
with all of the children. The progress and positive changes have been
monumental in this important year of their little lives. They all have
amazed me by their growth! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to teach
your children. They are all little angels! Have a great summer!
